The rest of the week, in no particular order

By Dr. Steve Pelton, DVM ·

The New Puppy went to Amazon as a full-color paperback, all 342 pages. For the front desk I made a one-page client handout and little counter cards with QR codes for newpuppy.vet and itchydog.vet, printed right here on my own printer.

VetNexus picked up a few things. An estimate now comes back with each item marked accepted or declined, and one button puts it into Shepherd. My day got a cleaner layout (I picked from three), and there's a new page that catches exam forms that never got filled out.

The phone agent was losing people. Of 36 calls over two weeks, 18 hung up during a greeting that ran 13 to 16 seconds. It's shorter now, and it says up front that the team's busy with patients so nobody thinks they're on hold.

The lab interpreter got a new look and a demo anybody can try on the Try it page. And the clinic site got a cruciate ligament video for owners whose dogs we've already x-rayed, plus a pet first aid page.

And one that has nothing to do with pets: a three-part series explaining where money actually comes from, with a short video for each part. Part 1: https://moneysucks.peltonsites.com/ Part 2: https://moneysucks.peltonsites.com/part-2/ Part 3: https://moneysucks.peltonsites.com/part-3/
